Amanda Massie lives with husband Andrew, son Justin and daughters Bridgett and Amy on their property "Jindara" at Campania, half an hour's drive East of Hobart in Tasmania. She has been drawing all her life, and started doing commissions in 1982. Amanda works with pencils and draws any animal but horses are her favourite. Amanda says:

"I love painting Arab horses because the classic bone structure of their head and their beautiful eyes give them such magnificent expressions. But all horses are individuals."

Amanda spends unlimited time on her work until she is satisfied with the finished product.
